Natalie Massenet Advances Online Retail

It only takes 15 years to build a fashion empire. Natalie Massenet is the founder of Net A Porter, a global fashion retailer that is headquartered in London. Net A Porter is operated as an online magazine and has nearly 3 million visitors to the site per month. Natalie is an american born former journalist that launched Net A Porter from her apartment in Chelsea. She sold the company in 2010 and is now an investor and executive chairwoman but the question is how did she do it?

Net A Porter is valued at 533 million but of course to get the company to that level there were many years of dedication and hardwork. Natalie attend UCLA, studied English, worked as model and stylist in Tokyo and also worked at Women's Wear Daily. To launch Net A Porter, she got a lot of help from her ex-husband who contributed to the 1.2 million she needed in start-up costs.

Lesson to take from Natalie: You are your own competition.

Apple's Latest Addition -- Angela Ahrendts

Hi Love!

Angela Ahrendts might be one of the coolest women I discovered this month. Angela is the Senior Vice President of Apple and she makes 73.4 million while she runs the retail and online operations at the company's headquarters. Besides being a true motivator and genius at her job she is also recognized for being one of the most powerful women in the world.

• Previously she worked as the CEO of Burberry. She is credited with vamping up Burberry's online sales by screening runway shows to executives. 
• On the first days IPADS were available she provided these tablets to store owners and to Burberry's management team. 
• Besides running Apple and really changing the workplace for store employees who are paid between $13-18 an hour, she has managed to stay completely fashionable. 

Angela is just more than a fashion love she has spent over 30 years being a leader in technology and retail.

Shopping Hauls All Summer Long!

As its gets hotter it becomes harder for me to blog however I do have this urge to shop. So to satisfy my recent interests I needed a little bit of inspiration so I headed to YouTube. Today I discovered Carli Bybel a fashion and beauty vlogger who creates numerous videos of shopping hauls and makeup tutorials for almost every occasion. One of her favorite stores is Misguided, which is an online shop that I am completely obsessed with so I instantly subscribed to her channel. Prior to beginning her online channel she worked as a local New Jersey makeup artist but now she has almost 2 million Instagram followers in addition to 2 million subscribers on YouTube. In addition to being a really successful YouTuber, she also has her own eyelash line called Carli Lash.
