Paid Maternity Leave -- Nationwide

Hi Love!

Susan Wojcicki is the CEO of YouTube, a 40 billion dollar video sharing website that is a subset of Google. Wojciciki is 47, she has 5 children and still is able to manage motherhood and a top position at work. When she graduated from college the internet didn't even exist yet however over the course of her life she took in two of her friends who soon created Google in her garage in 1998. By 1999, she was Google's first marketing manager and is now credited with having an active role in the creation of Google Images, Google Books and the acquisition of YouTube.

YouTube has 1 billion users worldwide and Wojciciki oversees the entire corporation. With YouTube producing numerous videos daily, Wojciciki almost never saw maternity leave especially when she was pregnant with her fifth child. Now she is on a mission to get the government to create a law that provides paid maternity leave and family benefits nationwide.Currently, only 5% of U.S employers offer maternity leave which is absolutely absurd. Accordingly, as a way to support her mission, I wanted to share this amazing story with you.

Check out her profile below:

If she was able to run a company with five children without any excuses we shouldn't have any either. Let's get to work!
